What is Disease?

In Disease, 🦸‍♀️ the main character is on a mission to save their sick mother. The story takes place in a city where people are separated based on their social status. The goal is for the protagonist to travel from the lower class to the upper class, revisiting familiar places they've already been with their friends and/or father. However, this time they have to do it alone, with the ultimate aim of finding a cure for their mother's illness. 💪🏼🧬🩺

What Happens During the Journey?

As you play through the game, you'll come across different memories of the main character's father who sadly passed away in a factory fire. 😔 You'll also encounter moments with the main character's mother and friends who have been affected by the same illness. 💔 The game has puzzles and side-scrolling gameplay, but it's also full of emotion with an underlying theme of anxiety that adds an extra layer of depth to the experience. 🎮🧩

The Player's First Encounter

The beginning of the game tells a touching story about a child's life. It starts with a happy family of three spending time together in their cozy home. 😊 Unfortunately, as the story progresses, the father leaves, leading to a funeral, and leaving the family as a duo. This scene is quite emotional, as the child feels the deep sense of loss and grief, saying goodbye to their beloved father. 😢


As the story moves forward, the cinematic shifts to scenes of the remaining family trying to cope with the loss and move forward. However, suddenly, the mother's health condition worsens, and the child feels helpless and alone. Seeking comfort, the child goes to their friend's place, but the once lively and cheerful atmosphere is now lifeless and gloomy, adding to the child's sense of despair. 😔


Eventually, the child returns home and rests beside their ailing mother, trying to provide comfort and solace in their own little way. The cinematic ends with a flash, transitioning to the game menu.
